Mohammed sets up Human Resources Dept

DUBAI - The Dubai Human Resources Department has been set up as per decree number 31 of year 2009.

This was  issued by the Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai.

The newly created department, which will report under the court of the Dubai Ruler, is tasked with the developing of the integrated strategy for human resources for Dubai government. It will set governance framework, update systems and human resources practices of the public institutions in Dubai.

The fifth article in regard to the department law, has delegated it to set policies, strategic plans pertaining to the development of human resources to execute and follow up the Dubai Strategic plan.

In related development, Sheikh Mohammed issued another decree appointing Amel Mohammed bin Udai, as a director general of the newly created Human Resources Department.

The decree will be published in the official gazette and becomes effective from the date of issuance Nov. 1.
