Lanka Lions did well to restrict Fly Emirates to 150 and then achieved the modest target without much fuss to hand their high-profile opponents a rare defeat. Shoeb Muljani (42), Harshad Dixit (30) and Amjad Javed (27) were among the runs for Fly Emirates.

Lanka Lions, in reply, built their innings around Kelum (36), Oshadha (34) and Eranga 24 to defy the usually incisive Fly Emirates attack.

In another match, a very high-scoring affair, Ibsons CC defeated Rufi Real Estate by 27 runs. Ibsons, batting first, posted a huge 276 for nine in the allotted 25 overs with Baber Malik (84) and Samiullah (74) doing bulk of the scoring.

Unruffled by the huge task at hand, Rufi Real Estate batted with determination, but just missed out on providing the finishing touch to their efforts. Humaj Mukhtar (77) and Rohan Mustafa (52) played well for Rufi Real Estate.

Emirates Islamic Bank recorded a thumping 99-run victory over Eslam Group while Nucaf Tellicherry got the better of KMG CC in other matches of the day.
