To ease the difficulties of the citizens, Rs 50 and Rs 20 notes will soon be dispensed from ATMs. The announcement was made by the SBI chairman Arundhati Bhattacharya on Tuesday, according to media reports.
The decision is likely to bring relief to the citizens grappling with the shortage of cash and limited denominations since demonetisation. The notes of Rs 50 and Rs 20 were not available before in the ATMs in India.
