Prominent business figures, major organisations honoured at Middle East Business Leaders Awards.

NMC Healthcare, Emirates Transport and the UAE Ministry of Education were among the organisations that had their top leaders honoured at the sixth Middle East Business Leaders Awards 2015, or Mebla, on Monday.
The Leaders International and the American Leadership Development Association, with the endorsement from The Federation of GCC Chambers, presented the event which recognises and honours not only prominent figures as exceptional leaders but also major organisations as drivers and contributors of their industries.
This year's grand event was graced by Shaikh Sayyed Ali Al-Hasimi, special advisor to the president of the UAE; Prince Sulaiman Shah Ibni Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, the royal chief major of Selangor, Malaysia; and Dato' Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin, consul general of Malaysia, Dubai.
Also present was Badria Al Mulla, president of IEBG UAE and trade advisor to the Government of Switzerland. Other notable distinguished guests were also present from the various Chambers of Commerce and Industry around the GCC region, as well as ambassadors and high ranking UAE Government officials.
Achievements in almost 25 categories were recognised and honored including the Lifetime Achievement Award; Global Visionary CEO of the Year; Global Entrepreneur of the Year; and Visionary Leader of the Year.
Dr B.R. Shetty, executive vice chairman & CEO of NMC Healthcare was awarded the 'Industry Excellence in Healthcare' award, while S.M.I. Mohamed Abubacker, director & CEO of Femina Group Of Companies won the 'Industry Excellence in Retail Business' award. Abdulla Yousef Al Ali, CEO of the Road & Transport Authority won the 'Leadership Excellence in Transportation' award, while Mohammed Al Jarman, general manager of Emirates Transport won the 'Leadership Excellence in Public Service Transformation' award.
Maryam Al Balooshi, environmental manager at the General Civil Aviation Authority won for 'Leadership Excellence In Aviation', while Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, director at Dubai Customs won the 'International CSR Company of the Year' award. Shaikha Dr Hind Al Qassimi, advisor at the UAE Ministry of Education won the 'Masterclass in Education Planning & Development' award, and Mahmoud Abd Alaal, CEO of Aafaq Islamic Finance won the 'Industry Excellence in Islamic Financial Services' award.
