Lindsay Lohan, Alia Bhatt rock at Gr8 women awards in Dubai

Dubai - Salman Khan's rumoured Romanian girlfriend Iulia Vantur performed at the event

Lindsay Lohan, Alia Bhatt, Vaani Kapoor, Farah Khan, Iulia Vantur made a star studded entry at one of the most anticipated Middle East awards show, The 7th GR8! Women Awards. The event was held at the Roda Al Bustan. The ceremony which was conceptualised by prominent Indian TV personalities Abu and Shashi Ranjan, honoured 17 women achievers from the Middle East right from Kuwait, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Qatar as well as India.
Salman Khan's rumoured Romanian girlfriend Iulia Vantur performed at the event. "I am really excited to be at the Gr8 women awards. I will be performing on the mix of Hindi and Romanian version of the chartbuster song Teri Meri Kahaani from Indian film Bodyguard. Not many know that the Hindi version is actually inspired by a Romanian song," Iulia told Khaleej Times before the event.
Farah Khan, who is one of the most celebrated filmmaker from Bollywood, gave a strong statement on the payment disparity issue in Bollywood, "The day female actors movie start making 100 crore, they will be paid similar to their male counterparts. I am a female director but I get paid more than many male directors. That's because my movies do well at the box office."
When asked if she as a producer pays equally to her crew members, she added, "of course yes, I might pay more to my female camera person than the a male ."
Vaani Kapoor who was in Dubai last year for the promotion of her film Befikre said, "We don't need one particular day to celebrate womanhood. But it feels amazing to get felicitated at such prestigious event."
Bollywood actress Esha Gupta walked the ramp showcasing the beautiful collection of designer Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor.
