We speak to DJ Daley aka Hot Since 82 who is performing this Friday

PERFORMING AT BLUE Marlin Ibiza UAE this Friday, Hot Since 82's success has been recent but noted. Recognition from Pete Tong, two BBC Essential Mixes and a Top 10 Beatport seller of all time record mean Hot since 82 or Daley Padley as he's also known is set to make an impact on Dubai this weekend.

Here we speak to the DJ about what to expect.
What have you got planned for Blue Marlin?
They can expect plenty of new bits from my label Knee Deep In Sound as well as some new stuff I've been working on in the studio during some recent time off.
What is your opinion on the UAE's DJ scene?
Every time I come back it feels bigger and better than the last time. There's more DJs wanting to play, more parties and bigger festivals. Its definitely moving in the right direction.
How do you like playing here?
I love coming to Dubai especially at this time of year, the crowd is always receptive, full of energy and up for a rave. Blue Marlin has a special reputation as somewhere with an amazing setting, sound system and production so I'm excited to check it out!
Who are your influences and favourite artists right now?
There's some amazing bits coming through on my label so guys like Sante & Sidney Charles, Claire Ripley, Booka Shade and Sean Miller.
What is your ultimate musical ambition?
I like to work step by step so next up I plan to finish my first album project and then go from there.
