It's been a busy week for Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, who officially started her reign last Monday, January 4, two weeks after she was crowned in Las Vegas.
On her first day as Miss Universe, Pia appeared on several major American shows in the US including ABC's Good Morning America (GMA) with famous host Lara spencer.
Early Monday morning (evening in the Philippines), Wurtzbach shared behind-the-scenes photos from the GMA set. She posed with host Lara Spencer, with whom she talked about her thoughts on Miss Colombia and being a Bond girl.
She then appeared on Kelly and Michael, where she was given the chance to do her Miss Universe walk and after a quick wardrobe change, Wurtzbach then gave Inside Edition a tour of her New York apartment.
She also made an appearance on Extra TV, where she graciously elaborated on her relationship with Miss Colombia, and what she feels about host Steve Harvey, whom she referred to as a gentleman for admitting and immediately correcting his mistake.
Working well into the evening, Wurtzbach appeared on CNN Tonight with Don Lemon, where she answered five pageant questions in 45 seconds, including proposing communication as the key to world peace.
Pia said she still finds her historic triumph surreal, but added, "I'm so happy. I'm so excited, I can't wait to start my reign."
Aside from using the attention she's getting to shed light on the alarming statistics of HIV/AIDS cases in the country, Wurtzbach shared that she's also hopes to do more relief efforts to areas devastated by natural calamities and remarked that this kind of tragedy happens too often in the Philippines.
In light of the bashing that she and Miss Colombia received, Wurtzbach also stated that she wants to fight cyber-bullying.
