Hollywood's newest darling and one of Time Magazine's most influential people, Priyanka Chopra is back to work on the sets of Baywatch. The 33-year-old actress took to her Instagram account and posted a picture of herself, staring out at the sea with an excited caption on resuming filming for the Hollywood movie.
Her latest accomplishment- being featured on Time's 100 most influential people list, was written by none other than her Baywatch colleague Dwayne Johnson. He took to Twitter to praise the Bollywood diva and wrote, "Very proud of you my friend. I'm thrilled to write your story. We're just getting started." Her casting as FBI trainee Alex Parrish marks the first time an Indian actor has played the lead role in an American network drama. A mean feat for any Indian star and it has placed Quantico among the current more diverse TV shows. The actress recently told Indian newspapers that, "After Baywatch I will take on another Hindi film. It is in my heart and soul." Recently, it was also announced that original Baywatch star Pamela Anderson will also be starring in the film, alongside Priyanka Chopra, Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.
The film directed by Seth Gordon is slated for a worldwide release on May 19, 2017. She was also one of the first Indian celebrities to appear on American talk show host Jimmy Fallon's daily show.
