Argentina's vice president, Gabriela Michetti, on Thursday urged UAE investors to enhance economic and investment cooperation between the two countries and to benefit from the various attractive investment opportunities offered by Argentina to overseas investors.
She further stressed that Argentina and the UAE share a common vision for future growth and can work together to boost joint investments by sharing mutual experiences, as well as the expertise to develop various potential sectors. She also added that her country is open to cooperation with the world, which today is interconnected and willing to overcome geographic distances.
Accompanied by her delegation, the vice president was speaking during a meeting held at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry's head office in the presence of Majid Saif Al Ghurair, chairman of the Dubai Chamber, and other officials and directors.
In his address, Ghurair stressed on Dubai Chamber's efforts in strengthening trade ties with Argentina and Latin America as a whole by identifying new trade and investment opportunities while highlighting the chamber's commitment to provide all the facilities to Argentinian investors and Dubai businesses to enhance bilateral ties between the two sides.
"Argentina is one of Dubai's top trading partners in Latin America as the two leading economies share common synergies and enjoy a strategic geographic location in their respective regions and as both sides thrive on tourism and foreign direct investments there is ample scope for them to strengthen their cooperation ties in these areas," Al Ghurair said.
He also added that Dubai provides an investor-friendly environment in its various economic sectors which are supported by modern infrastructural, logistics and financial facilities that Argentinian companies looking to make a base in Dubai as well as to enter the regional market for the future growth of their businesses can benefit from.
The chairman also said that the chamber is endeavouring to strengthen trade ties with Argentina and Latin America by identifying new trade and investment opportunities between the two countries and is organising the inaugural Global Business Forum Latin America, next week as the high-level event will serve as an important platform for exchange between stakeholders in the public and private sector in both regions.
