One of the most popular race meets in the world - Dubai World Cup - wrapped up in Dubai with Arrogate winning the big prize of the night - $10 million Dubai World Cup.
With $30 million generously spread across the nine races on the night, the Dubai World Cup at Meydan proved once again why it is one of the most exciting race meets in the world.
Although the weather was not playing ball, avid racegoers from around the world dressed to the nines, in dapper suits, dresses, hats, heels and what have you, and made the trip to Meydan.
His Highness  Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has a special place in his heart for horses. What he conceived 22 years ago as Crown Prince has now taken the horse racing world by storm.

Considering the inclement weather, the Meydan Style Stakes on Dubai World Cup Day at the 22nd running of the Dubai World Cup has been moved from the Style Stakes Arena on the Apron Views, according to a statement released today.
The new venue for the Meydan Style Stakes will be on Concourse C in Gate C.
The decision has been taken factoring in inclement weather and keeping in mind the safety, well-being and comfort of all the contestants.
Participants are requested to kindly proceed there for their registration.
The Dubai Racing Club apologises for any inconvenience caused to Style Stakes participants and wishes them the very best of luck.
