Has Lindsay Lohan embraced Islam?
The actress posted an Arabic message on Instagram
Lindsay Lohan's Instagram account has sparked rumours of her converting to Islam after her Instagram page read the Arabic message of peace.
The actress deleted all her photos from her Instagram page and changed her bio on social media to read 'Alaikum salam,' an Arabic greeting that translates to 'and unto you peace'. Assuming she has converted to the faith, members of Muslim community welcomed her to Islam.
Lohan stayed away from any quotes or confirmation regarding the rumours surrounding her faith, but it is known that she has been practicing Islam for a couple of years.
The star was in Dubai over the holidays, ringing in her New Year in the Middle East. In the past rumours about her adopting Islam surfaced when she was photographed holding a copy of the Holy Quran while doing community service in Brooklyn.
Among the other stars who have reportedly converted to Islam in the past include singer Madonna, Mike Tyson, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Akon, among others.
