To date, Hitachi's energy-saving home appliances are picking up in terms of sales, and its recent product range features latest innovations among its inverter series line-up that covers big appliances as well as smaller units.
"The home appliances highlight concerns over the regulatory tightening in terms of energy efficiency, which has become a buying basis for consumers. Incorporating our unique features to meet the energy efficiency standards challenges us to develop products that are unique and cater to the customer needs," Zen adds. 
Among bestsellers is the French Bottom Freezer Refrigerator Series - with Aero-care Vege Compartment that keeps vegetables and fruits fresh for longer periods of time; and the Drum Type Vacuum Cleaner, which can hold up 25 litres and has a 2300W longer-lasting suction power. The Top Load Ultra-Stream Washing Machine Series too has gained popularity for its capacity to handle loads up to 24 kg as well as its Auto Self Clean function, where a stain fighter automatically cleans the tub itself every time you do laundry, a feature that consumers never knew they'd need. 
The UAE continues to be an important market for Hitachi as a pilot ground to launch new products before official launches in other countries. "The UAE market is a role model among the GCC markets due to the arising numbers of Arab and international tourists. It is also seen as re-export hub due to the good logistic services. For the past years, we have been reinforcing our marketing activities, along with our distributor in the UAE market to deliver products that address local needs and enhance brand awareness," he adds. 
Zen says there is a rising demand for smart features, along with compact and integrated built-in appliances for smaller kitchens.  
Looking ahead, Hitachi aims to be the number one choice in home appliances by providing innovative products that promotes customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.
"We will continuously develop a series of Premium Home Appliances that suit this region. We, as a Japanese company, intend to develop new models that are distinctly unique from the current available models in the market, so as to provide the customers with real value and convenience.
