Victoria Fritz, a presenter for BBC Breakfast went into labour minutes after reading the news on a live television broadcast with a fellow reporter serving as her impromptu birthing partner. According to a Daily Mail report.
Fritz, who is a business reporter for BBC breakfast gave birth to a baby boy in a hospital, was assisted by colleague Sally Nugent since Fritz's husband was stuck in traffic when she went into labour.
After successful delivery she tweeted about the turn of events and her gratitude towards Sally Nugent and the BBC Breakfast team calling it a 'team effort'.
Sally Nugent also tweeted about the delivery using her handle @sallynugent.
The baby arrived three weeks earlier than expected.
Fritz had been discussing easyJet's figures in her regular business segment prior to labour.
