A man in his late twenties has been caught on tape when he dragged a woman out of her office in Punjab, to rape her at a farmhouse.
A CCTV camera installed in a shop in the vicinity recorded the entire footage which occurred on March 25. The Dalit woman in her early 20s works at a computer centre in Punjab's Muktsar district.
The video shows the woman trying hard to flee her abductor but in vain. Indian media reports suggest, she shouted for help, but bystanders and passersby paid no heed.
Five days later, she filed an FIR against the man, 27, who she alleged, took her to a farmhouse in Tapa Khera village and raped her. According to Hindustan Times, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Manvinder Veer Singh said,

"She had threatened that if the accused was not arrested she will hang herself to death."
The accused man surrendered and has been remanded to police custody. Police have registered a case, however, the car used to kidnap the victim has yet to be recovered.
In a Deccan Chronicle report, Sumit Kumar, a witness, and the owner of the computer centre said,
"The youth had come to meet the victim. They were chatting so we thought he was known to her. But soon he tried to abduct the girl, and when we protested, he started fighting with us. The entire episode is recorded on CCTV camera."
The woman and her father have approached National Commission for Scheduled Castes for prompt justice.
