Meet the Indian family with 12 fingers and 12 toes

India - Holding a pen is difficult, and the girls in the family have been unable to find a suitable groom.

Fifty-year-old daily wage labourer Krishna Choudhary, who lives in a small village in Gaya, has six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot. So do his father, grandfather, siblings, children and grandchildren.
Choudhary's nuclear and extended family of 25 members have a total of 600 digits between them, according to The Daily Mail. The medical term for this genetic condition is Polydactyly. It is the result of a genetic mutation and is a congenital anomaly.

Choudhary is not inconvenienced by the extra fingers. But, the boys and men in the family find writing with a pen difficult. The girls of marriageable age in the family have been rejected by prospective grooms on account of the extra digits.

The Choudhary family faces difficulty finding suitable footwear and so they wear flip-flops. They can't afford custom-made shoes.
