PIA crash: Body of Pakistani icon Junaid Jamshed identified

Islamabad - Identification of Junaid Jamshed was made from his facial X-ray and history of his teeth, Deputy Commissioner told APP.

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Mushtaq Ahmed on Monday said that body of Islamic scholar Junaid Jamshed has been identified through his facial X-ray.

He said that Junaid's family has been informed about it and arrangements are underway to hand over the coffin to the family of the deceased.
Meanwhile, Junaid Jamshed's brother Humayun Jamshed said that the funeral would be held at Moin Khan Academy in Karachi.
It is to mention that Junaid Jamshed and his wife were among 47 passengers and crew members who died after their flight PK661 crashed near Havelian in Abbottabad on December 7, 2016.
Earlier, body of Junaid Jamshed's wife was received by her mother at PIMS on Monday after identification. Dr. Yasmeen, mother of Neha Junaid received body of her daughter from the hospital's morgue by the hospital administration.
