Raw Materials:

  • 2 plums
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 slices white bread
  • ¼ cup cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp chocolate sauce, for garnish
  • 2 tbsp butter, for toasting
How to do it:
For plum compote:
  • Wash two fresh plums. Remove the seed and chop the fruit. Add the plums, water, and sugar to a saucepan. Cook until the plums turn soft and mushy. Remove from stove and add vanilla extract, whisk well. Let it cool completely before use.
For sandwich:
  • Spread 1-2 tbsp of plum compote on one side of the bread and 1-2 tbsp of cream cheese on the other. Press and close the sandwich. Repeat the same with the other two slices.
  • Heat a flat pan. Spread butter on both sides of the closed sandwich and toast until crisp and golden brown.
  • Serve warm with a drizzling of chocolate sauce.
