ADM & Al Resalah Real Estate Development Co. to construct community market in Baniyas, costing Dh45 million

Abu Dhabi - This project reflects Abu Dhabi Government's vision aimed at consolidating the integration & cooperation with the private sector.

Abu Dhabi City Municipality and Al Resalah Investment and Real Estate Development Company have signed Musataha Agreement, under which Al Resalah Company will design, build and invest a community market project in Baniyas.

The community market is a part of several development and investment projects intended to activate municipal assets in an array of tourism, entertainment, service and commercial fields, covering establishing & constructing or managing & investing such projects.

This project reflects Abu Dhabi Government's vision aimed at consolidating the integration & cooperation with the private sector, particularly in advancing the comprehensive development drive, upgrading public facilities and introducing new community projects. Such projects are required to provide world-class, integrated services in line with the Abu Dhabi Government's Development Plan 2030.

The Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport - Abu Dhabi City Municipality is keen to foster cooperation with the private sector, out of its belief that coordinated objectives will be to the benefit of the economy, investment, services, and facilities to bring them in line with the highest international standards.

The Municipality is set to undertake numerous investment, entertainment and service projects in cooperation with the private sector, which will constitute a solid base of facilities capable of bringing happiness and well-being to the entire populace. Examples of these projects include the Canal project at Al Maqtaa and external rest area projects among many other large community and service projects.

The community market project in Baniyas comprises the building and operating of a market by the private sector encompassing retail stores as well as communal & public service facilities in residential neighborhoods, in a way that reflects the aspirations of the Municipality. Such projects have to be built on "3 in 1" model which denotes integration of community facilities, convenience stores, and customer service to serve neighborhoods and residential areas on the Mainland and Abu Dhabi Island.

The project, which takes two years to complete, will be constructed on Land Plot No. (C16), Sector in (EB2[-03) Baniyas spanning an area of 9,000 square meters, at an estimated cost of Dh45 million.

The main objective of the community market in Baniyas is to raise the standard of living in the city and residential areas by providing service facilities and high-quality retail outlets. It also aims to establish a community center that meets the aspirations of residents of residential neighborhoods, enhance social life, contribute to bringing happiness to people and provide a healthy environment for business, shopping and entertainment.

The project is also intended to utilize public spaces and public realms by establishing such quality projects which, upon completion, will be a world-class shopping service facility and contribute to improving the standard of living in the locality.
