Fire breaks out in ships bow in UAE

Abu Dhabi - Fire fighting and emergency response teams were dispatched to the area.

A fire was extinguished after it erupted on board a ship on Wednesday.
The Civil Defence department in Abu Dhabi had received a notification that a fire had engulfed a ship's bow in Musaffah's Icad IIb area.
Fire fighting and emergency response teams were dispatched from Musaffah's Civil Defence areas 33 and 14 to put out the blaze.
The fire was successfully contained and did not spread to other ships. No casualties were reported.
Brigadier General Mohammed Mayouf Al Kitbi, Director General of Civil Defence in Abu Dhabi, said: "Maintaining fire extinguishers is key to preventing fires."
Investigations are ongoing as to the cause of the fire incident.
