Cheque-related complaints will no longer be entertained

The Ajman Police will stop receiving bounced cheques complaints from banks and other establishments at its police station premises, effective from April 1.
Dud cheque complaints can be lodged electronically through the police's smart phone application, which can be downloaded on all app stores.

The police will continue to receive dud cheque complaints of individuals at all its police stations. Complaints can still be lodged physically at police stations against those who fail to pay back their debts.
A top official said that the police have deployed employees at all police stations to answer queries and provide help and support to company representatives and individuals.

The move has come as part of police strategy to implement the Ministry of Interior's instruction to make the move to smart systems quickly.
The services are very easy to use and will save time and efforts for companies and banks which want to lodge complaints against their clients failing to settle dues. Special teams are employed to sort out the complaints and refer them to the concerned department , in order to address them in the shortest time.

"This move has come as part of police efforts to enhance the services provided for the public and establishments to gradually go smart completely," an official said.
