Sharjah Police recently arrested a gang of Nigerians who carried out four robberies in different areas of the emirate.
The gang members, who had entered the country on a visit visa, targeted armoured cash handling vehicles that deliver money to ATMs.

The gang members fled the scene with boxes of cash after they assaulted security guards and employees of the money transportation company.
A top official at Sharjah Police said that they have arrested four members of the gang within a short period of them committing the crimes.

The robberies had been carried out at an ATM on King Abdul-Aziz street, an ATM near Al Safeer Mall in Al Nahda area, UAE Exchange near Al Safeer Mall, and an ATM in Muwailih and other area.
The robberies were carried out over two days and culprits fled the scenes after assaulting security guards.
The police said a team was formed and they managed to quickly identify them and find their location.
