Would Dubai's high-profile shoppers dig in the new 'Ikea' bag?

Dubai has a luxurious aura to itself. Ask any outsider what he thinks of Dubai and bang the answer would be - land of gold, swanky malls, tall buildings and all the luxuries, ever thought of.
Swedish brand IKEA was in news currently for its humble blue bag that got a fashion upgrade, courtesy couture brand Balenciaga. The latter launched a neon blue tote bag, which is uncannily similar to Ikea's carry bag, called Frakta.
While Ikea's bag with a holding capacity of 25 kg is worth a mere Dh3, Balenciaga's tote is priced at nearly Dh8,000!
So, would the high-profile shoppers in Dubai empty their pockets to buy a bag similar to the Ikea bag for Dh8,000? For the uninitiated, Balenciaga does have a store in Mall of Emirates, Dubai. Or you could head to the nearest Ikea store at Festival City to buy the pocket-friendly version.
Responding to the viral attention it got, Ikea took to Instagram with a cheeky response that read, "This spring's it bag is here! Sometimes it's easy to keep up with the world of fashion. Ours is 19,995 kronor cheaper, however."
