The UAE Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development will on Sunday launch the 2nd Knowledge Forum under the slogan "From Inspiration to Innovation" at the Intercontinental Festival City Hotel in Dubai.
The Forum this year will focus on supporting young talents through the launch of the programme "Preparing Young Authors", which will introduce a group of comprehensive cultural services throughout the year.
The Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development will also hold an exhibition titled 'The Journey of Writing a Book' on the sidelines of the Forum, organised under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development.
The exhibition will reflect the journey of writing a book starting from the moment the idea was born, its development and its release to the public. Additionally, an exhibition with the works of Emirati artists Najat Makki, Abd Al Rahim Salem, Fatima Al Hammadi and Wessal Al Ali, will be held.
Afra Al Sabri, Under Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, stressed that the ministry, through the Knowledge Forum, was focused on creating an opportunity for creative Emirati writers to get to know more about the programme 'Preparing Young Authors'.
The programme represents a qualitative leap in the development of the UAE cultural scene through a comprehensive group of services provided by the Ministry to the UAE youths wishing to participate in it.
The 2ndKnowledge Forum also represents an opportunity to partner with different publishing houses and cultural institutions to introduce new ideas for the development and success of the Preparing Young Authors programme.
