First look: Dinner in the sky comes to Dubai

Dubai - Popular dinner concept Dinner in the Sky has come to Dubai International Marine Club. Never complain about ambience ever again.

Imagine this. You and your loved ones enjoy a hearty meal, at 50 metres above the ground, suspended in the sky. (Yes, there's no problem with that last four words!) And while you're at it, there's a blanket of breathtaking fog beneath you, covering Dubai roads, giving the city an ethereal appearance.

Won't that be a heavenly sight to behold?

Popular dinner concept 'Dinner in the Sky' has come to Dubai International Marine Club and will cater to frequent foodies who want to take their dinner experience a notch higher.

Selected by Forbes as one of its 10 most unusual restaurants in the world, Dinner in the Sky is a Belgian-based experience that has been across the globe serving sky-meals to thousands of people. Iconic locations have included the Kuala Lumpur Tower, Villa Borghese in Rome, Athens, Copacabana Beach, and Cape Town.

The guests are strapped to bucket seats with safety harnesses. Both guests and staff are then raised to heights of up to 50 metres using a crane to enjoy scenic views while indulging in world class meals.

The meals -- breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner -- are priced from Dh499 to Dh799.
