Abu Dhabi University has unveiled its newly completed dormitories for male students at a cost of Dh16 million, thereby increasing capacity to house 315 students.
Commenting on this much needed addition, Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, Chairman of Abu Dhabi University’s Executive Board, explained that the University has completed a comprehensive plan that focused on updating and enhancing its various facilities on both campuses, including the completion of new on-campus dorms that cater to the increase in the number of students enrolling at the University.
“Our student community has grown to include 6000 students enrolled in ADU’s undergraduate and post-graduate programmes on both Abu Dhabi and Al Ain campuses. The start of this past academic year 2013- 2014 witnessed the University attracting 1100 new students thereby achieving a 10% increase from last year’s student enrolment figures. We expect that with the inauguration of this new facility, these numbers will increase even more, especially with the start of the upcoming academic year”, he added.
