If you're looking to celebrate Valentine's Day with your partner this weekend, there is a lot to see around the UAE, the GCC and even beyond. And the best part of, you won't have to shell out a bomb for these adventures.
Here are five of our best picks:
Musandam Peninsula, Oman

To those who know, Musandam is a place of unparalleled beauty where nature truly shines. The peninsula is protected so no harm can be done to its surroundings. Due to its size, the area welcomes a lot of activities from kayaking, hiking, camping and even taking a boat down clear blue waters. If you have been in the UAE for quite some time and never been to Musandam, you are missing out.

Nepal
For those of us who are more of wanderlusts, Nepal is a must visit not only because of Mount Everest, but also because of the culture. Despite suffering from an earthquake earlier last year, Nepal has since recovered and is still recovering but that doesn't stop you from seeing how at peace the Nepalis are. Flydubai has good prices for flights to Nepal which will cap off around Dh1,500 for a roundtrip.
Salalah, Oman

Another beautiful destination in Oman, Salalah is a very long drive but in the end it pays off - hugely. If the sight of sand is being an eyesore already, Salalah is a welcome sight because of the lush greens and palm trees.

Georgia
Now, if you're into snowy climates and tucking into your third layer of clothing then head to Georgia. The Eastern European country has a mixed history from its time with the now defunct Soviet Union thus it has some interesting architecture here and there. Tie this up with the modern developments the country has been undergoing and you have a great place to visit.

Al Ain
Probably the nearest getaway out of all these, Al Ain has a lot of sights, from the eclectic collection of animals at the Al Ain Zoo, the Green Mubazzarah, and of course nobody could ever miss Jebel Hafeet. Only a few hours away from either Abu Dhabi or Dubai, Al Ain offers a quick and beautiful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city.
