The UAE has always been a contender in rankings of every kind all over the world. Fuelled by the vision of its heads of state to have the country as the number 1 in the world, the UAE has continuously proven its peers that it's making that vision into a reality. Just check out these sectors where UAE ranks number one.
Global Talent Competitiveness
The UAE ranks number one in the MENA region for the sheer number of talent overflowing in the region. The Global Talent Competitiveness Index tracks every country's demographic of people that are competitive in their selected fields. UAE being at the top just proves to show that the country is home to world-class talent.
Quality of Living
UAE topped the MENA once again in 2015 for quality of living in a study conducted by Mercer's Quality of Living Rankings. May have something to do with the stellar malls, world class facilities and a governing body that can be summed up as one of the best, and if we forget to mention, the numerous tourism projects and sights to see - who doesn't love the beach here?
Largest operator of A380 and 777-300ER
With a fleet consisting solely of A380s and 777s, Emirates flies 87 A380s and 132 777-300ERs up to this very day. They plan on phasing out the older models soon and will be replacing them with Boeing 777-8X and 9X models by year 2020.
eGovernment
Not only is the UAE number one in MENA, it's also sitting comfortably in the top 10 of the eGovernment Development Index. It really is true that when you're in the UAE everything is within a computer/smartphone - parking? There's an app for that, labor law enquiries? Just head to the website.
Respecting women
The UAE could sing Aretha Franklin's R-E-S-P-E-C-T all the time since it ranks number one the world for treating women with respect. This was according to a study conduct amongst 132 nations back in 2014.
