Abu Dhabi - President HH Shaikh Khalifa expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the Russian president, the friendly people of Russia and the families of the tragic accident.

His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, in a cable, has extended condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin for the victims of the FlyDubai plane crash which took place early morning while it was attempting to land at Rostov-on-Don Airport in Russia.
In the cable, HH Shaikh Khalifa expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the Russian president, the friendly people of Russia and the families of the tragic accident.
HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, sent two similar cables to President Putin.

Earlier, the VP took to Twitter to condole the crash:

I offer my condolences to the families of the passengers who lost their lives on board flight FZ981. This terrible tragedy grieves us all.

France expresses solidarity with UAE
France expressed solidarity with the UAE and Russia following the tragic incident of an aircraft of flydubai crashing while landing at the Rostov-on-Don Airport, Russia, early Saturday morning.
In a statement, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, said, ''France expresses condolences and extends solace to the UAE's people and leadership as well to the Russian people and leadership on this tragic accident."
France also expressed its deep sorrow following the crash of the UAE aircraft, expressing heartfelt condolences to and sympathy with the families of the victims.
