His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has extended condolences to the families of Emirati martyrs Zayed Ali Al Kaabi and Mohammed Obaid Al Hammudi, who fell while carrying out their national duty as part of Operation Restoring Hope, being conducted in Yemen by the Saudi-led Arab Coalition.
During visits to the two families in Murbah district in Fujairah and Dibba Al Hisn in Sharjah, he expressed deep sympathies to their families. Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed stressed that the people of the UAE take pride in the heroes who offer great sacrifices in the battlefield.
"The historic stand of the families of the heroic martyrs shows all the pride and glory and the overwhelming feelings that the Emirati people have towards the martyrs' sacrifices. It shows their genuineness as people who were raised on the values of loyalty, national belonging and patriotism. They showed loyalty to the legacy of forefathers and the sacrifices made for this good land," Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed added.
Shaikh Mohammed was accompanied by Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the State Security Department; Dr Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; and Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court. -Wam
Lt.-Gen. Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, also offered his condolences to the families of the martyrs during his visit to the mourning tents.
Dr Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council, and a number of members of the legislative body have extended condolences to the families of the martyrs. Dr Al Qubaisi praised Emirati martyrs for offering sacrifices to defend the present, future and values of their country.
She also praised the UAE Armed Forces as protectors of the country and its gains and noted that the Emirati servicemen are offering sacrifices to back legitimacy in Yemen and restore stability to the country. -Wam
