Ras Al Khaimah's Civil Defence unit in cooperation with the ambulatory and rescue unit of Ras Al Khaimah Police, rescued a 29-year-old Emirati youth A.S. after he fell and broke his right leg. According to the local Arabic media source Al Khaleej, he had been hiking along a mountainous area near Wadi Sha'am, nearly 45 kilometres to the north of Ras Al Khaimah.
Brigadeir Mohammed Abdullah Al Zaabi, Director of Ras Al Khaimah's Civil Defence, said that the Operations Room received a report from Sha'am police station about a man who had been injured nearby. The man was transferred to Saqr Government Hospital for further care and treatment.
