Whereas pleasant weather is expected these days, locals and residents have found it a good chance to enjoy the rain and large pieces of hail which fell on most parts of the emirate, for the first time this year.
The heavy showers which lashed different parts of the emirate have left some ponds of water, mainly at the deep valleys and mountainous areas, such as the Jebel Jais - the highest peak in the UAE.

Abdullah Alshemeili, an Emirati government retiree, told Khaleej Times that the lightning was seen on the Rams coasts late on Sunday, following which it started hailing and raining.
"Large pieces of hail, along with moderate to heavy showers have also lashed the Khor Khuweir, Julphar, and North Nakheel areas, whereas the Wadi Ghalila was flooded with rainwater."
Mohamed Nasser, an Emirati computer engineer, said the Wadi Qadaah in Ras Al Khaimah witnessed large pieces of hail late on Sunday and early on Monday after heavy showers that lashed the emirate. "Most of the valleys here are flooded with rain water."
"I always take family out to enjoy the rain and fine weather, mainly close to the mountainous areas and nearby valleys," said Ali Saeed, an Emirati government employee here.
Brigadier Dr Mohammed Saeed Al Humaidi, director general of the central operations room, RAK police, said they are geared up for the downpour, and deployed more traffic patrols to ensure traffic flow and recover the stuck and non-functioning vehicles due to the showers and flooded valleys, if any.
"All motorists need to be alert, focus and careful, and reduce speed on the road during the rain. Seafarers, beach and valleys goers, and motorists are still urged to be more cautious during the unstable weather."
Residents of the areas much exposed to pouring showers and strong winds, are requested to be careful, and immediately call (999) in case of emergency, Dr Humaidi urged.
The RAK department of public works and services has also deployed a big number of tankers to suck out the accumulated ponds of rainwater, particularly at the low level areas and major roads.
Meanwhile, the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology has recorded a 4.4Magnitude Earthquake on Richter scale in the Qeshm Island Arabian Gulf at 07.05 AM, 04.01.2016 local time. However, residents of the UAE did not feel the tremors.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology, the UAE weather on Monday, is partly cloudy in general, and cloudy at times over some areas.
Fresh northwesterly winds will prevail during the day in general, becoming strong at times over the sea, and causing rising dust with poor visibility over the exposed areas. Sea is rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf, and moderate to rough in Oman sea.
More rain-laden clouds on islands, coasts and western areas, and moderate to heavy showers that which might be thunder rains are expected. A significant fall in temperatures is expected in general.
