Video: Explosion at scrap warehouse in Sharjah, one injured

Sharjah - Firefighters rushed to the site and brought the blaze under control.

At least one worker was seriously injured in an explosion at a rubber and scrap warehouse located in Sharjah Industrial Area 10 on Tuesday.

The incident took place at 12.30pm, and the entire area was engulfed in thick plumes of smoke in no time.

Firefighters rushed to the spot within three minutes, and brought the fire under control, preventing it from spreading to adjacent buildings.

The injured worker has been rushed to Al Kuwaiti hospital.
