Police said that on Thursday morning they received a call at the operations room about the body of the woman, following which a team comprising officers from CID, patrols, forensic, crime scene departments as well as ambulance rushed to the site and found the body of the woman hanging from the ceiling fan in her room.
The body was shifted to a forensic laboratory for autopsy to specify the exact cause of death. Police also collected evidence such as phone and finger prints to launch the investigation to determine whether there was a criminal act behind the death of the woman.
Police said that they cannot determine whether the case is a suicide or not until the forensic report is released. Initial CID investigation revealed that the woman had decided to end her life.
