Sharjah Police are investigating a case where three Arab women and a GCC woman were involved in a fight which resulted in the GCC woman fracturing her thumb.
The three Arab women took a selfie after finishing their make-up when they were standing behind the GCC woman. They were getting ready to attend a friend's wedding.
The salon's owner was unable to resolve the dispute, and called the police, who transported the GCC woman to hospital. She was injured in her right hand thumb, along with minor cuts and bruises on her body.
Initial investigations show the GCC woman was visible in the selfie the three Arab women had clicked.
According to the police, the GCC woman expressed her displeasure when she saw the women click selfies while she was standing behind them, and warned them not to photograph her, but they persisted. This resulted in a verbal altercation, followed by a fight.
