The Dubai Police have put up three virtual reality (VR) treats for visitors to The Dubai Mall. A virtual car game enables visitors to 'drive' a car in different climate conditions - rain or fog, and day or night. The aim of the 3D game is to enable motorists to understand and enhance their ability to control their vehicles in different climatic conditions.

Major Ahmed Al Haj, head of the smart marketing department at the Dubai Police, said that through the first application, motorists can experience different climatic conditions and the impact of the vision change. Considering their response to the situations, drivers could take the right step to avoid an accident.

The second virtual reality treat gives motorists a 3D experience of a real accident on various road conditions which helps them realise the consequences of not using break at the right time and not abiding the speed limit and other traffic rules.

Major Haj pointed out that the VR experience aims to educate the public about the seriousness of traffic accidents and to identify the mistakes leading to the accidents.
The third is a virtual tour of the Dubai Police Museum by using the mobile phone.

He said that visitors to the Dubai Police platform can move around the Dubai Police Museum in a smart way through the application developed by the smart services department. The app and VR experience gives a 360 degree tour of the museum and have the historical experience.
