Abu Dhabi hospital welcomes 2 pairs of twins on UAE National Day

As UAE celebrated the National Day on December 2, two pairs of Emirati twins were born in Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children in Abu Dhabi in the wee hours of Saturday.
The hospital welcomed a total of 10 newborns (4 boys and 6 girls) during the first few hours of the 46th UAE National Day.

The first baby was born one minute after 12 midnight, and weighed 3.4kg and is the third child for the family.
His father, Hamdan Mohamad Hasan Al Hammadi, said, "The baby is our third, after one boy and one girl who are overwhelmed with his birth today. He is in good health thanks to Allah and we have named him Mohammed. We are extremely proud to have him join us on the first minute of UAE National Day. From here, we would like to congratulate UAE leaders, government and the people of UAE on this very special day."

Dr Aseel Al Youzbaki, specialist obstetrics & gynaecology at Danat Al Emarat Hospital, who delivered the first baby on UAE National Day, said, "The baby was due in 10 days but decided to join the family on this special occasion for all and double the joy of his parents and us at the hospital. Both baby and mother are in good health."

The second newborn weighed 3.35kg and was delivered at 12:05 after midnight. Her father, Mohammed Alsantarisi, said, "Having our baby girl at this time of the year is very special to our hearts. We have named our new bundle of joy Sama, and she has three older brothers. We would like to congratulate UAE leaders, government and the people of UAE on this very special day."

A pair of twins was also born at the hospital at 12:51am on the UAE National Day. The Emirati twins (one girl and one boy) weighed 1.84kg and 2.42kg respectively. Their father said, "We would like to congratulate UAE leaders, government and the people of UAE on this very special day that is very dear to our hearts. The birth of our twins on this special night was a surprise for us, and now the memorable occasion is tripled for us. We are very thankful for this blessing."

A second pair of twins was also delivered at 8am on UAE National Day at the hospital. Their father, Yahya Ali Al Ghubbari, said, "We are extremely happy that our twins were delivered on the UAE National Day. Their older sister was waiting for them and is so pleased to meet them today. We named them Hissa and Rowdha and we thank Allah for their good health. We from here congratulate UAE leadership and people on the 46th National Day."

Vino Nallaya, CEO of Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children, said, "We are happy to welcome the 10 newborns at the hospital in the first few hours of the 46th UAE National Day. All the10 babies and mothers are doing well and are in good health."

The hospital distributed flowers and gifts for all patients and children who are spending the UAE National Day at the hospital.
7 Emirati babies take birth at Burjeel on National Day
Seven Emirati babies were born at Abu Dhabi's Burjeel Hospital, on UAE's 46th National Day.
Dr Sausan Abdul Rahman, consultant - obstetrics and gynecology at Burjeel Hospital - successfully delivered the newborns on the special occasion.
All the families took great pride in announcing the birth of their respective children on this historic day and they hope that their children too will make a positive contribution to this great nation.
They were extremely happy and thanked God for the safe delivery of their children. Additionally, they also thanked the Burjeel staff for their excellent medical care, Dr Sausan said.
"Delivering babies on such a proud occasion is an incredible feeling and we are very happy that it happened here at Burjeel Hospital. We wish all of them a happy and a healthy life ahead," she added.
