Dubai woman commits 19 traffic violations in just one hour

A woman motorist of European nationality has committed 19 radars violations in an hour on Shaikh Zayed Road, a top police official said.
The European woman who was in her forties was driving Porsche Cayenne Car when she was caught by radars.
Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of General Department of Traffic of the Dubai Police, said that it was for the first time a woman committed a large numbers of radars violations in such a short span of time. He said that the woman was caught last month at 3:00am and the car speed was 220 to 240kmph.
When the officials inquired about the reason for her reckless driving, she said that she was heading to Rashid Hospital for treatment and under stress.
He added that the fine for exceeding speed above 120kmph is Dh1,000 and the vehicle will be confiscated for 2-3 months. The erring motorist will also be issued 12 black points on the driving licence.
Al Mazroui said that the woman has contacted the department several times to exempt her from the fines, as she was in a bad mental condition. "We refused because her reason is unacceptable." He said that the violation was committed while the police launched a campaign against speeding, adding that when the woman did such an act, luckily, the Shaikh Zayed Road was almost empty.
He urged all motorists to abide by speed limit even if the road is empty. However, people continue to commit those violations despite knowing that there are fixed mobile radars on the roads.
