Man uses black magic to win over daughter in UAE

A GCC national has been accused of using sorcery and witchcraft to win over his daughter in Fujairah.
The man had previously divorced his wife who retained custody of their daughter, reports Al Bayan. He gave her a locket within which was a paper that had illegible words written in black ink.
The mother of the girl found the gift suspicious and after opening it, discovered the paper inside.
She reported the incident to the police, who contacted the father and confronted him with the paper. He denied the charge, claiming that the paper had a "rokya" or holy words meant to protect the child from harm.
After further investigation, he confessed to the charge of using sorcery to manipulate his child.
