After Khaleej Times posted a clip of the video online in a bid to track down the man in question - whose face cannot be seen in the shot - one Facebook user posted: "Legal action needs to be taken ASAP. He better not get away with this! I want to see him in jail."
And many were on her side.

"How could people even do that? (It) says a lot about someone's character and heart. (They) should face prosecution for this. Sad to watch," another user said.
"Very cruel. Some action must be taken against this man," a third posted.
After being alerted of and shown the video on Monday evening, a top official from Sharjah Police told Khaleej Times that a complaint is yet to be registered with regards to the case, but he did confirm that swift action would be taken if the perpetrator is caught.

Additionally, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change took to Twitter to express his disgust at the viral video.
"Afflicting, hurting, torturing or brutally killing animals are unacceptable practices that are punishable under the Federal Law No. 18 of the year 2016 on cases of violence against animals. Such individual practices are utterly against the principles and teachings of Islam and contradict the customs and traditions of the UAE community," he said.

He made reference to an earlier case too, where the Ministry, along with the police, identified another suspect involved in torturing a cat last year. He also expressed his intent on bringing this latest perpetrator to justice.
"We shall coordinate with the bodies concerned to track down the person involved in this (practice), and enforce the due procedures."

According to reports, the incident took place at a farm in UAE. In the video, the man is overheard saying that he is throwing the cat to the dogs as punishment for killing his chickens.
Taking to social media to catch the very man who used the online platform to showcase the disturbing act, one user urged those who have more details of the case to contact "8003050 MOCCAE, your local police or Middle East Animal Foundation".
"This is wrong in so many levels and the government should look into such matters," he added.
