A fire that erupted on a small yacht near Dubai's Burj Al Arab on Friday was brought under control by the Dubai Civil Defence
According to the Dubai Media Office, three people onboard were safely evacuated.
"Three people were safely evacuated and no one was injured in the blaze that appears to have been caused by engine failure and fuel leakage," the media office said.

Earlier, onlookers at the beach saw black smoke billowing in the distance. In a series of photos shared on Twitter, Kiera Doherty said: "Huge fire on a ship near Burj Al Arab. Hope everyone on board is okay." Photos show black smoke billowing in the distance and can be seen by people standing at the beach.
