Abu Dhabi cop, 4 family members killed in Saudi accident

Abu Dhabi - Sources said the accident also caused serious injuries to three others of the family

A senior police officer from Abu Dhabi and four members of his family were killed in a traffic accident in Saudi Arabia.
According to Saudi media reports, Major Mahmood Al Ansari from the medical services department of the Abu Dhabi Police died along with his wife and three of his children in the accident in Al Madinah Al Munawara in Saudi Arabia while they were returning after performing Umrah. Officials in the UAE confirmed the news about the accident.
Sources said the accident also caused serious injuries to three others of the family.
The accident took place on Al Hijrah highway. Ambulance and traffic police rushed the injured to a hospital in Al Madinah. The bodies have been shifted to the morgue.
Official sources said bodies will be repatriated to Abu Dhabi after the procedures are completed. They said the UAE government is expected to send a special plane to repatriate the bodies.
