Holders of the registered e-passport can enter Japan as many times as they want during the three-year validity period or till the expiration date of the passport.
The registration requirements are just applicant's name and contact information. No other documents are required. Registration can be done without any specific travel plans to Japan and completed by any person designated by the passport holder such as relative or driver.
