Video: Rain, thunder and lightning hits UAE

It will be a rainy weekend in UAE.

Residents can brace themselves for a rainy weekend as rain has been pounding UAE this morning in many parts of the city. It started raining in Dubai in the early hours with lightning and thunder. 
The continuous rains in Dubai has lead to flooding in some areas like Discovery Gardens in Ibn Battuta. Pumps on the road are draining out the water logged areas.

Daily life was disrupted in Sharjah as strong winds took over the city and heavy rains came pouring down.

Before rains lashed Ajman, strong winds were experienced. It was followed by scattered rain.

Thunder rain has been reported over most Abu Dhabi areas and Al Bateen. For today's weather forecast, the National Center of Meteorology & Seismology has shared that the amount of clouds will increase and more thundery rain can be expected.

The NCMS has reported about thunder rain in Al Ain and Fujairah. Light rain was also reported over Abu Dhabi airport, Al Ain international airport, Al Maktoum International airport and Al Bateen airport.
