Dubai - Priyanka Chopra is the first Bollywood actor ever to be picked as a presenter at the Oscars.

Ahead of her big night at the 88th edition of Oscars, the new global ambassador of Bollywood Priyanka Chopra spoke to select Dubai media via Skype straight from Los Angeles.

Priyanka Chopra is the first Indian actor ever to be picked as a presenter at the Oscars. After winning People's Choices Award and presenting awards for the Screen Actors Guild, Hollywood is Priyanka's second home these days. She is almost the next big thing in Hollywood with her popular TV series Quantico and her big project Baywatch with Dwayne Johnson.

Currently, she is in Los Angeles where she will present an award with her co-presenters including Quincy Jones, Kerry Washington, Byung- hun Lee, Reese Witherspoon, Whoopi Goldberg, Tina Fey, Julianne Moore, among others at the Oscars. Priyanka spoke in details about diversity at the Oscars and her favorite nominated films

Diversity at Oscars
Academy is making an effort to encourage more diversity at the awards after they were hit with accusations of racism lately. Priyanka said that its a sign of good things to come, "I do not think it's a start but I don't think it's the end of the debate for sure. It's a really big conversation that needs to be had because diversity is very important for entertainment. Today global entertainment has become such a small space, people come from different parts of the world and they are a part of a global entertainment and their representation should mean that. I am glad that I am a step in that direction."

Quiz her on what she will wear for her big Oscar night, Priyanka reveals, "When I wake up tomorrow morning, which will be after some four hours of sleep, I'll see what I am feeling but I am gearing towards white as of now."

Curious if Leo will win
Like everyone else, even Priyanka is curious to see if Leonardo DiCaprio will finally win his first Oscar, "I saw many films from the nominations but Spotlight is my favorite. The Danish Girl and Big Shot are another favourites. I really want to see if Leonardo DiCaprio wins his first Oscar this year. I want to see which one wins the best film. It will be a fun evening."
