Abu Dhabi police has arrested 207 beggars during the first half of the holy month of Ramadan. The move coincides with their campaign to enhance peace and security during the holy month.
Major General Omair Mohammed Al Muhairi, Director of Criminal Security Sector at Abu Dhabi Police, stressed the leadership's keenness to combat all negative phenomena such as begging. The number of beggars increased during the month of Ramadan to take advantage of residents' charity.
