Dubai will celebrate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's 88th National Day on September 23 in grand style with an array of events and activities, reflecting the strong relations between the people of both countries.
Saudis arriving to the UAE were welcomed at Dubai International Airport with sweets, flowers and Saudi flags. Officials at the airport wore scarves representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and immigration counters were decorated with Saudi flags.


Saudi arrivals received a new type of passport stamp of the logo that said #Always_Together and mascots were seen giving out flowers.
Families, residents and visitors can also take part in exciting events and entertainment including a concert by regional stars and a fireworks show at La Mer.
Malls, dining destinations and landmarks will add to the excitement of the joyous occasion with special activities and numerous promotions. The strong relations between the UAE and the KSA have never been closer, where the residents of Dubai can expect to see some of the city's most famous landmarks, Burj Khalifa, illuminated in the national flag of Saudi Arabia in a display of friendship and respect between the two nations.
The line-up of events and activities to celebrate the National Day of Saudi Arabia in Dubai is as follows:

CONCERT

September 22, City Walk
For musical fun, head to City Walk in Dubai where two of the Gulf's most popular singers will take to the stage as part of the Saudi National Day celebrations in Dubai. Saudi singer Dalia Mubarak and Emirati star Shamma Hamdan will perform some of their most popular hits in a special concert on the evening of September 22. With both artists enjoying huge popularity in the KSA and the UAE, the concert is sure to be a big hit, so don't miss the fun!  The concert starts at 6:45pm.

Traditional band: September 21 to 23
Saudi Arabian folk dancers will also perform at malls across the city, including The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Dragon Mall, City Center Mirdif, Dubai Festival City Mall, and Al Seef.
Dubai Fountain: September 21 to 23
The Dubai Fountain will 'dance' to songs by popular Saudi artists from 12 to 22 September, with a special display in tribute to the Saudi national anthem taking place on 23 September.
Dubai Mall: September 20 - 23
Dubai Mall rolls out the red carpet during the Saudi National Day celebrations, offering visitors the opportunity to watch performances by a traditional band at the Souk Atrium,  Ground Floor and also enjoy Arabic coffee. There will also be give-aways to visitors including a booklet of vouchers, scarf and mementoes.
The Beach: September 20- 23
To celebrate the joyous occasion, The Beach hosts a grand parade on 22 September at 6:00pm with horses marching along to Saudi national melodies. From 20 -23 September, the destination will screen a selection of award-winning short films by Saudi directors at Roxy Cinemas daily at 7pm and 8.30pm as part of the Saudi Cinema Weekend.
Dubai International Airport celebrations: September 20
Dubai International Airport will accord a water salute to aircraft arriving from Saudi Arabia whilst flowers, Arabic sweets and coffee will be offered to Saudi visitors arriving in Dubai. Saudi national songs will also be played in the arrivals section of Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
Burj Khalifa: September 20-23
Emaar is celebrating the Saudi National Day from September 20 to 23 with an assortment of activities and offers that will delight Saudi visitors and UAE residents.
The highlights of the activities include Burj Khalifa featuring the Saudi national flag on its LED screen, while The Dubai Fountain will come to life with specially choreographed displays. The shows will be held at 7:30pm, 8:30pm and 9:30pm from Friday to Saturday.
Yas Island: September 23
Yas Island is set to light up its skies in celebration of the Saudi National Day with a special fireworks show on Sunday September 23, at Yas Marina.
Kicking off at 8pm, the dazzling display will feature a selection of green hued fireworks in homage to the Saudi Arabian flag. The festivities will be free to attend for all.
Boxpark: September 21-23
Boxpark will take visitors on a cultural journey through staging traditional Emirati Al Ayala dance performances at 6pm from September 21 to 23 to mark Saudi National Day.
Often referred to as the stick dance, Al Ayala is performed during various national celebrations and festivals across the UAE. The popular folk dance features two rows of men standing face to face, chanting traditional Bedouin tunes and waving their sticks as they step forward and backward to the rhythmic beat of the drums.
Visitors to the destination can enjoy the cultural performances throughout the destination free of charge.
In keeping with the celebratory vibe, until September 30, the third edition of the SunSational Summer App offers visitors more than 15 new deals in addition to ongoing promotions at restaurants, shops, beauty salons, health and fitness facilities as well as leisure and entertainment outlets. 
La Mer: September 20-23
The occasion will be celebrated at the La Mer in Dubai with colourful fireworks, Saudi traditional dance entertainment, a supercar parade, and a host of attractive shopping and F&B deals.
From September 20 to 23, traditional Saudi dancers will stage performances at La Mer North and La Mer South - every day at 7:00pm and 8:40pm respectively.
On Saturday, September 22, Show Street at La Mer will transform into a live supercar gallery showcasing some of Dubai's most fascinating luxury rides, courtesy of Supercars Majlis, to the rhythm of the latest tunes played by a live DJ.
The destination is also set to host a spectacular display of fireworks that will illuminate the skies to perfectly synchronised music at 8:30pm on Sunday, 23 September.

Dubai Festival City: September 20-23
The Dubai Festival City will be marking the Saudi National Day from September 20-23, with a new IMAGINE show.
The two-time Guinness World Record breaking, show like no other - IMAGINE, will celebrate this joyous occasion with a special show every evening after sunset for four days.
Families will also be entertained by a traditional band that will roam around the mall September 23, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Shoppers will also be able to enjoy and array of different dining options on the waterfront at Festival Bay, as well as enjoy irresistible shopping offering at Dubai Festival City mall stores.
