The Sharjah Criminal Court has charged six people of different nationalities, including a scrap company owner, with theft recently.
The accused were charged for selling stolen items to the owner of scrap company. The owner bought the items spending Dh30,000 though he knew that the goods were stolen. He paid less to get the valuable goods from the other suspects.
The company's guard, a witness, testified that he was tied-up and threatened by the defendants, who were in masks, and so could not identify them. The court adjourned the case to July 31.
Separately, the court also charged two Asians for stealing cash from the safe of a car repairing company, which belonged to one of the accused.
The case dates back to April 27. During the hearing, the court confronted the second defendant and he denied the charges. The court postponed the case to July 31 to try the first defendant.
