Jordans Khaled opens a winning chapter in Students Karting Cup

Dubai - Jordan's Khaled Al Atiyat bagged the first place followed by the UAE's Rashid Al Awadhi and Gaytatri Unni (third place) in the Junior's category.

More than 120 students competed for the first ever Students' Karting Champion title in three exhilarating stages that culminated in the final races at Al Ain Raceway.
Jordan's Khaled Al Atiyat bagged the first place followed by the UAE's Rashid Al Awadhi and Gaytatri Unni (third place) in the Junior's category which consisted of students from the age group of 12 to 15 years.
While Daivik Vishu, Gautam Unni and Melvin Jeyakumar emerged the top three winners for the 16 - 18 age group in senior's category.
Prizes for SKC Champions, taken home by Badr Ben Homaid (Juniors) and Melvin Jeya Kumar (Seniors), included round trip flight tickets to Bahrain and complimentary entry to the 2016 F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in addition to all-inclusive training packages from event organisers Prodrive Sports Services.

The event was open to UAE residents and saw a multicultural driver line-up from 14 different nationalities including UAE, Jordan, UK, Belgium, South Africa, Morocco, among others.
