When we are in danger, our main priority is survival. Such was the case of Steve Frappier, a man who was in Ft. Lauderdale airport when an Army veteran started shooting in the baggage claim area claiming the lives of five people and wounding eight.

While the death toll is shocking, it would have been six had it not been for Frappier's backpack which saved his life when the he was shot at by the suspect. Thankfully, his bag took the bullet for him.
According to a correspondence made by CNN with Frappier, the bullet went through his backpack and then his Mac laptop. On initial impact, he fell towards the ground. It was only after the shooting was over and he went to the bathroom that Frappier found out that his laptop was hit.
He later turned the bag in to the FBI and the authorities discovered the bullet inside one of the pockets.Frappier went on to say that his laptop stopped the bullet which would have hit his back and even cost him his life.
