Tourism is a big revenue generator for many countries. While some countries have the most pictreque mountains, and other have featured in many international movies, it's the citizens that seem to be driving tourists to the path of "won't return".
A survey by Travel+Leisure ranked 266 cities based on their access to art and culture, and the friendliness of their people. Here are the top cities that failed to warm a traveller's heart.
According to the travel magazine "these cities-"glum," "rude," and "not exactly the kindest"-didn't impress visitors with their people skills."
The world's unfriendliest cities:
1) Moscow, Russia

Most tourists don't' seem to find Muscovites helpful. Going by The Independent, Europe's largest city, Moscow has been dubbed the unfriendliest city in the world, owing much to its unhelpful locals and general aloofness.
2) Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA
A TripAdvisor contributor said, "I could not believe how rude the people were, whether it was at the casinos we went to just meeting people walking on the boardwalk. I had heard stories about Atlantic City and I didn't believe what I had heard. I guess it is asking too much in this day and age to expect people to be polite and that's a shame."
3) St Petersburg, Russia

4) Marseille, France
Marseille is a famous port city in southern France. It is home to bustling 19th-century avenues, tranquil squares and stepped streets. Even with a relatively poor "friendliness" score, many Parisians believe this city is more accommodating than Paris.
5) Los Angeles, California, USA
With a good share of sunshine and good-looking people, residents of LA seem to have a good dose of rude in them too. A contributor on an online forum, said, "I have been living in LA for five years. I agree that most people here are rude, proud and ruthless. The reason I feel is that most of them are from different parts of the world. This is not true for other parts of CA. So definitely this is not true for the natives."
6) New York, New York, USA
7) Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

8) Baltimore, Maryland, USA

9) Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
10) Cannes, France
